My chicken is trying to bury itself alive. Recently we noticed a hole in the backyard. Not thinking anything of it we refilled it. Yesturday, I noticed my chicken laying on its side and spinning in circles. Using one leg to dig its making a very large hole in my lawn. Then it covers itself with dirt by flapping its wings. It continued to do this until the hole was as round as my chicken and about 4-5 inches deep. Im new at chickens, not sure whats going on. Please help.
Sounds like a really intense dirt bath. It's normal and healthy for chickens to take dirt baths.

If you have acess to ashes from a wood burning source, she would love you for it, she just needs to dust herself off.
Check for mites/lice. Sometimes a dirt bath that intense could signal skin irritation from pests. A spray or two under the wings, vent and top of head with a natural insect repellant should help. My chickens stopped their intense hole digging when I re-applied the spray.
