Help! Trying to rehab lame chicken

Sorry. Well, one chick has disappeared. One was thought to have disappeared but showed up in my driveway about 3 weeks ago standing on one leg with the other limp and held close to the body. The neighbor said nature would take it's course and I asked if I could keep it for awhile til she healed so she wouldn't have to compete with the other chicks. I called Vet Farm Animals and was given some good advise I won't go into because of space limits. She is now using the foot but has a very pronounced limp. I hope she will continue to have better use of her foot. About a week ago, the rooster showed up in our yard and I thought she would be glad to see him. She was not. She is afraid of him and hides and he doesn't act friendly. I started to reintroduce her to the flock and they are mostly ok but she wants to stay right beside me. I didn't plan on keeping her but I don't want her to be bullied.

I just figured out how to get more space. I didn't have to divide this all up and cut the story short after all. I'm so embarrassed!

Well, any thoughts would be appreaciated.
