Hello from NM

Hello,

 I live in the east mountains of nm (sandia park area) and need some guidance/info/mentors!

 Growing up, we had lots of animals, a mini farm, if you will, and now I am interested in purchasing some chickens and need some guidance and advice getting started.

Growing up we had polish chickens, reds, frizzlies (which I am looking to purchase soon) and many others.  I would like info on which breeds might be best in colder climates like the mountains, and any guidance on feed stores in town (have checked with town and country) you all might recommend.
