Greetings from the Abbot

Yo.

I am the Fryer Abbot at the St. Gallus Convent at Ravenswood.  Ravenswood is a garden plot in the residential neighborhood of Richmond, in Southeast Portland (SEPDX), Oregon.

 I have six hens:  Emma the Red, my RIR and Mutha Souperior; Sugar, my damaged Gingernut Ranger, and former henchhen; Gladys, a black RockStar and rising power in the Convent status; Tina, another black RockStar; Golda, a Gold Laced Wyandotte (and pretty pullet); and Ingrid, the buff EE, the most debased of the Sisters of the Byrd.

 Above and beyond their ongoing environmental work (organic pest control, soil aeration, fertilizer amendments, invasive suppression) in the gardens of Ravenswood, the Sisters of the Byrd produce high protein foodstuff for the family which donated the convent and the land, as well as entertainment for me.  I have a window onto the Convent grounds and provide upkeep and maintenance.  I'm the local beakwipe, basically; the chicken tender.
