Tractor Inspired by Drawing Here - Another View

Another view of our tractor.  It is 4' wide x 8' long x 3' high.  Dimensions determined largely by the dimensions of the materials we had.  The bottom has 2" x 4" fencing to keep out racoons & the sides/top have 1/2" hardware cloth.  We've got shade cloth, but haven't added it yet & may not since our yard is so shady.

The frame is made from 2" x 2" x8' lumber.  Outside walls & floor are made from diebond (aluminum/plastic layered) from recycled espresso stand signs.  We got most of the materials free on Craigslist or had them around the house.  The inside of the coop is part espresso stand sign & the rest is painted red, with an orange nest box.  Because the diebond doesn't give good traction, we lined the floor with rubber doormats (that can be hosed off) and the nest box with part of a artificial grass doormat.

We didn't use a formal plan, just worked with what we had & the drawing on this site as a guide.  There isn't a true right angle anywhere on the thing, but it works really well & the chicks seem to like it.  We're already thinking about getting another tractor going!
