The Coop

Our completely (?) secure coop complete with chicken wire underside to prevent someone digging under to get in. We've quite the mongoose problem here. There is a compartment in the bottom right that opens up to reveal the mini-coop for the chicks. The panels on hinges above it lead to the laying boxes for our hens. The entrance is on the left and is a hinged door, raised off the ground by a foot to allow the hens to enter at will but keep the mongoose out. That worked for the first year but suddenly the mongoose figured out it could climb...or hop. A feat thought physically impossible by yours truly until we started losing eggs and then a chick.
