Cold weather care

When the weather turned cold I wedged bales of straw under the chook coop.  I thought this was a brilliant idea to keep the girls warm.  Well, they have been scratching at the bales of straw and straw is now strewn all over the pen!  I am sure they're entertained scratching in the straw.  And they'll be entertained watching me clean up and haul away the strewn straw!
