The coordinator of the Just Food City Chicken Project, in New York City, recently sent me a chapter of their publication "The City Chicken Guide". This guide was designed to educate chicken keepers in NYC about a variety of topics including city regulations and proper chicken care. I pulled the following quote from the guide, as its message applies to urban chicken keepers everywhere. "It is your right to keep chickens in New York City.
